I recently started reading the book Buy Back Your Time by Dan Martell, and I was amazed at how perfectly its message aligns with the very reason Girl Friday came to be.
As an entrepreneur, I know firsthand how hard it is to find someone who can do a job as well as you can. I was the queen of doing it all. And I was the queen of being grumpy while trying to do it all.
The house was never quite clean, the kids didn’t get enough attention, and my husband—well, let’s just say he got the short end of the stick. I was exhausted, overworked, and overwhelmed. I thought I was "getting it all done," but in reality, nothing was done well, and I wasn’t able to enjoy life.
Then, everything shifted.
A Major Life Change
After my divorce, I entered a new chapter. I started working in sales—the money was nice, but something was missing. My calling has always been service. I genuinely love helping people.
So, I started asking myself: How can I use my passion for service and satisfy my entrepreneurial mind?
That’s when it hit me.
I thought back to those years when I was married, juggling everything, and feeling utterly out of control with my home. I didn’t have a partner to help me tackle the endless to-do list. Tasks slipped through the cracks. Life slipped through the cracks.
I hated that feeling, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
Turning My Skills into a Solution
Even though I was great at managing a home, I realized that sometimes the responsibilities are just too much for one person. And if I, someone who enjoys home and lifestyle management, felt that way—what about everyone else?
That’s when Girl Friday was born.
I realized I could use my skills to help others buy back their time:
Time to focus on work that grows their income.
Time to spend with their family, their partner, or their passions.
Time to enjoy life instead of being weighed down by tasks.
What Does Buying Back Your Time Look Like?
Most of my clients only need 2-4 hours a week of help to reclaim control of their lives. Imagine someone else:
Refreshing your spaces: tidy rooms, laundry folded, pantry organized.
Refilling your essentials: stocked kitchens and supplies without a second thought.
Managing your home: coordinating vendors, scheduling maintenance, and keeping everything running smoothly.
When these tasks are off your plate, you get to focus on what matters most—whether that’s making more money, spending quality time with loved ones, or simply taking a breath for yourself.
